Side Guides:

Extruded aluminium or steel guide channels, depending upon size and application. Fixed and removable centre mullions available. Available in mill finish, galvanised or can be anodised or powder coated.

Bottom Rails:

Bottom rail type and size is dependant upon door size and application, locking optional dependant upon door size and application.

Extruded, aluminium, inverted ‘T’ section bottom rail is fitted to the bottom of the curtain. Finished in either mill finish aluminium, can be anodised or powder coated. Galvanised, inverted ‘T’ section rolled bottom rail, galvanised finish or can be powder coated. Heavy Duty Double Angle bottom rail, galvanised finish or can be powder coated. Compensating (angled) bottom rail, where shutters are fitted onto sloping openings, galvanised finish or can be powder coated.

Roller Shutter Grilles Nylon Link Curtain:

Constructed from high quality, injection moulded 75 mm nylon links, predominantly found on internal applications such as Bars, receptions and serving areas. The benefits include:

Operation Options

Manual Self Coiling:

Sprung barrel for a push up, pull down operation. Locking by a key operated centre lock to the bottom rail which activates locking bars across the bottom rail and locate into holes within the side guide channels.

Electric 240 V Tubular Motor:

240 V, single phase tubular motor mounted within the roller mechanism for a compact shutter box assembly. Can be operated via Rocker switch, Keyswitch and Remote Control.

Multiple Grilles and curtains can be operated via a group command and a single switch or remote. Manual override facility is available on all electric doors, in the event of a mains power failure, the shutter can be wound open and closed via a removable hook and eye hand crank handle.

Safety brake anti fall back device is fitted as standard to the non motor side of the barrel to prevent the shutter falling in the unlikely event of a serious mechanical failure occurring in the motor unit.

Safedrive Single Phase 240 V and 3 Phase 415 V Operation:

This is recommended due to Size, application and operating methods, openings up to 6000 mm x 6000 mm can be accommodated.
Recommended for larger openings and higher usage, direct drive eliminates the needs for counterbalance springs, gears and drive chains to offer a simpler, more reliable operating method. The motor is fitted with a Built-In Safety brake to prevent the shutter falling in the unlikely event of a serious mechanical failure occurring in the motor unit. Low level changeover hand chain operation fitted as standard to manually raise and lower the shutter in the event of mains power failure.

Operating Methods:

Rocker Switch, Keyswitch, Remote control, Radar (motion Sensor), Induction floor Loops, Card and Proximity Readers, Mobile GSM (UK only SIM cards available).

Fully Automatic & Auto Closing shutters and grilles must be fitted with a Safety bottom edge and low and high level photo-beams to protect against closing & entrapment from riding on.

Electrically operated rolling grilles are fitted with a safety beam to both sides of the curtain at lintel height to prevent possible entrapment. Grille Curtains may also be incorporated into solid traditional lath roller shutters to provide security and privacy whilst maintaining high levels of ventilation and light. Usual applications include Car Parks & Loading Bays.
