Roller Shutter Doors to Dutch Barn

An existing customer required a solution to better utilise an old Dutch Barn on his farm. Some months the barn was to be used for grain with other months, for machinery. With only 240V power, un-even floor levels and limited steelwork, there was only one solution, the very adaptable roller shutter door. Using a 240V tubular motor and a communal centre plate, we were able to maximise the space with no awkward protrusions to hinder access and egress. The building required the doors to be fitted externally to offer the greatest headroom and covered by a coil casing hood to protect the door from the elements as well as birds. Compensating (sloping) bottom rails were fitted to the doors to best seal to the sloping floors to minimise draughts, dust and rodent ingress.
