2no Heavy Duty Industrial Roller Shutter Doors

Scope of works:

We were asked to come up with a solution to replace 8no solid sliding timber doors which had gradually ground down to just two working leafs but with difficulty. The span was 24m, two 12m doors was not possible due to the existing centre column. To reduce strain on these large doors from a busy working environment it was decided to make two 10m wide x 5m high roller shutter doors with steelwork and a 4m centre partition to house the steelwork for the large doors and to install two personnel doors to reduce usage on the roller shutter doors for pedestrian access. To protect pedestrians, Armco barriers were fitted externally.

Steel Fixed Bollards in a bright yellow PPC finish were fitted internally to protect the roller shutter doors from impact.

The roller doors are fitted with heavy duty chain drive motors and are also fitted with a safety brake fall back device to the opposite side of the barrels to protect from falling in the event of a serious mechanical failure in the drive train.

Declaration of Conformity, Declaration of Performance, CE mark all designed to meet CPR (Construction Products Regulations) a legal requirement on new doors.
