Steel Roller Shutters

Steel Roller Shutters are a popular choice of physical security for a range of applications from commercial shopfronts to industrial warehouse doors. Steel Roller Shutters are available in a range of profiles and designs. The profiles are generally cold rolled from a coiled sheet of galvanised steel which vary in thickness dependent on the security required or wind loadings. The most popular profile is a 76mm curved design that is available in a solid, perforated or punched finish.

Steel Roller Shutters can also be manufactured so they have a level of insulation, this is achieved by sliding two profiles together whilst inserting an insulated core into the void between the two profiles, this profile is historically a 100mm Double Skinned Steel. A more modern version of an insulated profile is a 95mm Foam Filled Lath, this is achieved by injecting a CFC foam into the centre of a one piece profile whilst it is being roll formed.

Should a high level of visibility or ventilation be required then a Tube & Link Curtain is the ideal choice. This type of curtain is used a lot on car park entrance roller shutters and on installations where planning restrictions are high.

Steel Roller Shutters can be colour co-ordinated by means of powder coating to any standard RAL colour, the majority of plastisol finishes are also available to match with the steel cladding used on industrial buildings.

Push Up / Pull Down

Typically used on smaller openings such as doorways, windows, serveries or bars.

Both operable and lockable from both sides of the opening.

Hand Chain Operation

Handchain Operated Insulated Door

Used on smaller to medium sized openings that are either too large for push up, or where there is no electrical supply available.

Electric Tube Motor

240 volt, single-phase tube motors, typically used on shop-front, office or domestic, low use applications.

The motor is mounted within the roller mechanism, which reduces the amount of space required to accommodate the shutter box assembly.

Safety brakes (anti fall-back device) are fitted where necessary to comply with European regulations.

Emergency hand operation is provided as standard.

Available with a wide range of control options.

Keyswitch, Rocker Switch, Push Button, Remote Control, Group Control to operate numerous shutters from one location

Electric Direct Drive (safe-drive).
